Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how powerlift.ing (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our website and program builder (the “Service”). We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. Summary
- We do not require an account to use the core builder today.
- Programs you build are stored in your browser and in shareable links — not in a personal program database we operate for anonymous use.
- We do not sell your personal information.
2. Information you provide
When you use powerlift.ing, you may enter training data (exercises, sets, reps, loads, RPE, maxes, etc.). That data stays in your session and in URLs you share unless you use a future account feature we may offer.
If you contact us (for example via social media), we receive what you send us there.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may log technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and approximate timing. We use this to operate and secure the Service. We do not currently run advertising trackers or sell log data.
4. Local storage in your browser
powerlift.ing may store preferences on your device (for example theme choice or saved maxes) using browser storage so the app works smoothly. You can clear site data in your browser settings; doing so may reset local preferences.
5. Share links
When you share a program, the program data is encoded in the link. Anyone with that link can open the program in powerlift.ing. That is by design so knowledge and programs can spread openly. Do not put sensitive personal information in program notes if you would not want it visible to link holders.
Shared program URLs are generally marked so they are not intended to appear in public search engine results on their own; you may still post links wherever you choose.
6. Third-party services
We may use third parties to host the site, deliver fonts, or provide infrastructure. Those providers process technical data needed to serve pages. For example, fonts may be loaded from Google Fonts when you use the Service. Their policies apply to how they handle data.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate for a static site and client-side app, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for safeguarding links you share.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because most program data is not stored on our servers today, we may have little to retrieve — but contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.
